Lecture description
Traditional monolithic, one-size-fits-all silicon approaches no longer meet the requirements for performance, power efficiency, functional safety, and scalability. Chiplet-based architectures offer a practical path forward by breaking complex SoCs into modular, interoperable dies connected through high-bandwidth, low-latency die-to-die interconnects within advanced packages. This innovative and powerful approach allows designers to optimize CPUs, GPUs, and AI accelerators independently across process nodes and power envelopes, while improving yield and shortening development cycles. Chiplets make it more upgradable across different platforms and adaptable over time, without reworking the whole system.
