Lecture description
Founded in 1993 by female forestry students from Göttingen, the association "Frauen im Forstbereich e.V." takes care of the concerns of female foresters, forestry students, forest owners, forest workers and all those who work in the forestry and timber sector. Between 2020 and 2026 the Interreg projects "Fem4Forest" and "Fem2Forests" collected data on women in forestry in the Danube region for the first time and developed measures to support them. One of the outcomes was the establishment of the umbrella organization "WOFO International" in 2022, which now counts more than 1.000 members from four continents. The German association is one of the founding members. The associations and results from "Fem2Forests" will be presented. More information at: www.forstfrauen.de, www.wofo-international.org
