This presentation introduces the Grünwald Forest Experience Center and provides brief information about other forest experience centers throughout Bavaria. It also outlines why and how the forestry education mandate of the forestry authorities is structured and why the legal framework for this is so important. Furthermore, it discusses what forest education can achieve and why it is so essential in our time. The presentation provides an overview of the most important target groups for forestry education and why everyone should feel addressed by it.
