Lecture description
The digitalisation of forestry requires robust, energy-efficient sensor systems designed for long-term operations. Tailor-made microelectronic systems and application-specific chips make it possible to integrate sensor technology, signal processing and intelligent analysis directly at the point of use. The presentation demonstrates how the Bavarian Chip Design Center (BCDC) can support the development of sensing solutions for all forestry actors who aim at accelerating the transition towards modern, efficient and sustainable forest management. The presentation is aimed at all companies including those with small to medium production volumes and will highlight how the BCDC can support from feasibility studies up to series transfer.
