Lecture description
Next-generation power electronics, enabled by multi-level converter topologies (e.g., interleaved PFC) and wide bandgap semiconductors (SiC, GaN) optimize efficiency and power density. These designs require accurate high-bandwidth current sensing without significant phase delays. This presentation will review conventional sensing technologies and introduce Infineon's high-bandwidth, low-noise Hall and inductive coil current sensors for improved system performance, including reduced THD, lower distortions, and fast fault detection.
