Affordable housing today rarely comes from the individual design, but from system and repetition. Serial components and industrial prefabrication promise shorter construction times and lower costs – but how much individuality can series production tolerate, and how much reduction does simplicity require? The panel sets two paths to affordable housing against each other: the reduced individual design and industrial modular construction.
