Today’s BESS platforms need protection strategies that go beyond individual components and cover the complete energy storage ecosystem. In this session, we will explore how a coordinated approach to protection, sensing, switching, and monitoring; from the cell level all the way up to the container and grid interface can significantly enhance system reliability and thermal safety. Drawing from practical BESS deployments and evolving industry developments, attendees will gain valuable insights into preventing fault propagation, improving thermal visibility, enabling faster fault isolation, and designing safer, more robust energy storage systems that are ready to support the growing demands of grid modernization and data center electrification.
