With a background in public management and hands-on experience in policymaking, conflict resolution, and development cooperation, Caitlin seamlessly transitioned into the private sector to drive meaningful change in sustainability. Beginning her journey as a Management Trainee at Rhenus Air & Ocean, she quickly discovered a passion for sustainable logistics, ultimately driving key initiatives to reduce the company’s environmental impact. As the Head of Sustainability for Europe (Air & Ocean) at Rhenus Logistics, Caitlin spearheads decarbonization efforts across 11 countries, ensuring the region’s alignment with environmental goals and regulations. Her work is centered on implementing robust sustainability strategies, reducing Rhenus’ carbon footprint, and supporting customers in optimising supply chain practices. Through cross-functional collaboration and innovative solutions, she is committed to embedding sustainability at the core of logistics operations. Previously, Caitlin served as the Regional Head of Sustainability for North-West Europe, where she played a key role in advancing sustainability initiatives across six countries. Her extensive experience includes working in Antwerp and London, where she gained invaluable insights into freight forwarding, sales strategies, and facility development. Beyond Rhenus, Caitlin has cultivated a strong foundation in international policy and community development through roles at the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) and the Municipality of The Hague. During her university studies, she led a humanitarian shipment initiative from Belgium to Cape Town – an experience that introduced her to the company and sparked her interest in the logistics sector. Passionate about innovation, action, and measurable progress, Caitlin is dedicated to shaping a more sustainable future for the logistics industry, ensuring that environmental responsibility goes hand in hand with operational excellence.
