From July 2027, all European control authorities must be able to accept legally required freight transport information digitally. To this end, a digital environment is being developed that must be able to communicate with each other in a compatible manner in all EU Member States in order to enable data retrieval from economic operators. This environment is intended to make checks faster, more efficient and more targeted, not only on the road, but also across all modes of transport, in line with the principle of “data stays at source”. Economic Operators are obliged to use certified platforms, which should be compatible with existing Systems for TMS for example. On the panel we will discuss the Platform options and the surplus with using the EFTI digital control tools.
The panel discussion is intended to provide information on the status of implementation and facilitate a discussion. Participants will include representatives from companies, the Federal Ministry for Transport, the EU-Commission and a potential provider of a service platform.
