Lecture description

Deutsche Bahn is facing a historic challenge: in order to achieve better quality, punctuality and fewer disruptions, 41 heavily used rail corridors will be completely modernized over the next few years as part of the general refurbishment. During these construction measures, which will last several months, rail freight traffic will not be possible on the affected sections of track - but what does this mean for the logistics sector?

What alternatives are there if rail is temporarily unavailable? Is it enough to switch to road transport - despite the lack of drivers, CO₂ problems and the strain on infrastructure? And what role can inland waterway vessels really play as the most environmentally friendly mode of transport?

The trade journal SUT Schifffahrt und Technik invites you to an exciting panel discussion at the transport logistic trade fair: Representatives from the rail, road and inland waterway transport sectors will jointly discuss how freight transport can be organized in a future-proof, sustainable and efficient manner in times of general restructuring.

Experience controversial opinions, innovative ideas and new perspectives for Germany's logistical future. Be there - join the discussion!
