Lecture description

There are two parts to this panel discussion. The first part is about how AI is the fastest-evolving technology tool that will bring various efficiencies to the air cargo logistics value chain. These include automating routine tasks, such as documentation, which reduces manual errors and speeds up processes; improving forecasting using historical data to predict demand and optimize capacity; implementing dynamic pricing based on factors like routing, weight, and handling codes to provide more accurate and competitive pricing; and enhancing safety and security by detecting anomalies and identifying potential safety issues.

The second part of the panel focuses on business opportunities for air cargo players. As the world digitizes, semiconductors play an increasingly critical role in our lives. Today’s most sophisticated chips are enabling us to do more than ever before, fueling innovation within almost every sphere of life. This part aims to discuss how the air cargo industry will become a key carrier of high-value electronic goods, both small and large, which are crucial for the rapid deployment of AI applications across industries. The demand for semiconductor-powered devices and systems by consumers, enterprises, and governments continues to boom. The substantial computing power required for such AI applications, along with the various types of chips (from GPUs to QPUs as the race progresses from LLMs to LQMs), and the physical development of data centers, will greatly benefit air cargo players in the coming years.
