Biography
Dr. Matthias Ballweg heads the Mobility and EU Policy department at SYSTEMIQ - an influential and globally active "System Change Company" that drives the transformation to a sustainable economy. Together with the World Economic Forum, he is responsible for the "Circular Cars Initiative", a coalition of mobility stakeholders to promote the circular economy in the automotive industry. Previously, he was Vice President Strategy at MAN Truck & Bus for several years, where his responsibilities included all issues relating to the future of mobility in passenger and freight transport. The behavioral psychologist is a start-up founder, father of 4 children and board member of the Oberland section of the German Alpine Club - the second largest sports club in Germany.
