In the summer of 2023, Munich's Kolumbusstraße was transformed from a street and parking space into a lively place to spend time as part of the MCube aqt research project – car-reduced neighbourhoods for a liveable city. The question behind this was: How can we shape mobility change together with research, administration, business and civil society? This short presentation provides insights into the real-life experiment, its impact on the neighbourhood and the key findings of a trial that attracted attention throughout Germany.
