Public transport companies and private car manufacturers: how are they working together to shape autonomous public transport? Franziska Becker from Hamburger Hochbahn and Lena Kleinschmidt from HOLON, a subsidiary of Benteler, are working on one of the most exciting projects in autonomous driving for public transport: ALIKE in Hamburg. While Franziska Becker initiated the project as head of the Autonomous Mobility & Intelligent Transport Systems department and is driving forward the strategic development of autonomous driving at Hamburger Hochbahn, Lena Kleinschmidt is responsible for ensuring that the ‘Holon urban’ shuttle meets the requirements of passengers and transport authorities. Both provide insight into how the collaboration works on a project that is so forward-looking for both sides.
