Integrating diverse mobility services into a single digital access point holds the promise of seamless, situation-specific travel. Yet, despite high expectations from researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) has so far struggled to achieve lasting impact. What are the key lessons from past implementations and which critical success factors are needed to make MaaS work – for users, platform operators, mobility providers, and public authorities alike.
