A successful transition of the European automotive industry is crucial for the European economy as a whole – with the auto industry being Europe’s industrial backbone and core driver of employment, innovation, and prosperity. In this keynote, McKinsey will present a new masterplan for the industry, aiming at achieving a successful decarbonization, better economics and stronger resilience at the same time. The masterplan covers such important elements as company transformation, required partnerships, a thriving ecosystem as well as establishing a regulatory level playing field – to ensure that the European auto industry can also succeed in the decades to come.
