Vasanth Waran

Wasanth Waran heads the Automotive Business unit at MIPS. He has 22 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry and spend a majority of his career at Intel Corporation and Qualcomm Inc, in various roles from Design Engineering, Product development, Platform Applications and Marketing to Product Line Management. He was instrumental in building the Automotive business at Qualcomm Inc from infancy. His current focus is in establishing MIPS as the architecture of choice in the Automotive High Compute solutions for Software defined vehicles. Vasanth holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras.
