Lecture description

As automotive display systems evolve toward centralized compute and software-defined vehicle architectures, connectivity requirements are expanding beyond video transport to include software-accessible control and diagnostics. Modern cockpit platforms integrate multiple displays, peripherals, and ADAS visualization functions, increasing demands on scalability, maintainability, and system-level coordination. This presentation examines how these architectural changes shape display connectivity requirements and the tradeoffs among dedicated video links, display interfaces, and network-based transport. It considers how complementary connectivity approaches can support increasingly interconnected cockpit and ADAS domains within automotive constraints.
