Lecture description

The trend towards software-defined vehicles with C2X functions demands a fundamental redefinition of the vehicle electrical system architecture. The new vehicle electrical system architecture, created with an innovative approach, will allow for highly automated production of the vehicle. Together with ept, Rosenberger is meeting these challenges head on with modular and flexible development approaches. We are developing innovative, highly integrated products in collaboration with partners from automation technology and connection technologies. These products will be used profitably in the new modular vehicle concepts. The modular combination of data connectors with signal and power contacts, as well as the use of state-of-the-art press-fit zone technology, is the way forward. The available installation space is fully utilised and modular sub-assemblies are formed. This paves the way for further expansion of robot assembly for the vehicle. This reduces the complexity of handling and simplifies the entire supply chain. Furthermore, the focus is on efficient automation through the consistent application of existing standards and modules. The combination of technologies makes it possible to realise highly automated, modular and cost-efficient products in the zonal approach of the vehicle electrical system
