Lecture description

Presented by Wilhelm Auer, Product Marketing, Infineon

Historically, MOSFETs have been utilized for protective functions as static switches in applications like battery management systems and hot-swap circuits. With the increasing adoption of battery-powered applications and the growing power demands driven by AI in servers, the need for static protection switches is rising. This presentation will explore the specific requirements and challenges associated with the utilization of MOSFETs in protection systems and how Infineon’s latest portfolio extension of wide SOA MOSFETs, the OptiMOS™ Linear FET 2 addresses these challenges.
