Up until today, Printed Electronics industry has primarily relied on silver-based conducting inks. However, the increasing prices of silver has limited the growth potential of PE in large volume electronics markets such as antenna technology, smart labelling, etc. Recognising the pressing need to develop conductive inks made of lower cost underlying materials, a novel copper ink is introduced that provides very good conductivity while ensuring ambient stability over time, and easy processability using conventional printing technologies (i.e. screen printing).
