Lecture description

Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic (LTCC), the long-lasting material for harsh environments compared to PCB, can increase the safety of components, e. g. when integrated into printed circuit boards. Low-loss substrates of LTCC are widely used for RF and microwave applications. Recently developed safety features of just a few millimeters in size, e. g. data matrix codes (DMC) for identification or elements for pad protection, such as heaters and sensor modules, can be manufactured and implemented in system components with low additional effort. Traceability between individual production steps and suppliers within the process chain is achieved using existing standard technologies
