Lecture description

Presented by Bruno Mussard, Security Marketing Manager, STMicroelectronics

Beyond the connectivity commonly found in IoT devices, there is now a critical need to embed security functions and align with the upcoming European RED/CRA IoT regulations. These security functions include device initialization, firmware updates, lifecycle management, and monitoring security vulnerabilities during IoT product operation. Such elements can be complex and may impact IoT application development and market rollout, leading to excessive costs and lost opportunities. To address these challenges, STMicroelectronics proposes a robust and proven silicon Root-of-Trust that provides essential security functions. Additionally, a comprehensive process and web portal are available to monitor identified vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance and enhancing security throughout the IoT product lifecycle.
