This talk will give you an overview of how to build a high-performance DC EV charger. It will show you how the EVerest project addresses the challenges across both hardware and software. EVerest removes the complexities in communication among all EV makes and models, enabling successful charging with the relevant protocols, such as ISO 15118-2/-20, DIN 70121 & Plug & Charge. Communication with all backend providers is achieved through OCPP 2.0.1 / 1.6.
Additionally I will show how Open Hardware enables developers to quickly set up an EV charger.
EVerest is a licensed project within Linux Foundation Energy. It was initiated by PIONIX GmbH to support the electrification of the mobility sector.
