Lecture description

This study explores the implementation of DFA modules in automotive MCUs. The aim of this research is to demonstrate the advantages of integrating DFA into automotive MCUs, focusing on processing speed, power efficiency, and real-time data handling capabilities. Comparing MCUs with and without DFA in a series of benchmark tests that included signal processing and control tasks typical in Electric Vehicle motor control. The DFA modules were designed to trigger operations based on data availability, enabling parallel processing, and reducing instruction cycle times. The integration of DFA modules into automotive MCUs offers significant performance benefits.
