In the era of sustainability, the detection of people's presence and occupancy is becoming an increasingly interesting and growing market for a multitude of application use cases. These include alarm systems, room and desk occupancy for energy saving and light management, elevators, control panels, and access control. The thermal MOSFET infrared sensor (CMOS+MEMS) and Time-of-Flight proximity sensor technologies offer a compelling combination that reduces false positives while maintaining privacy. However, integrating these technologies poses challenges such as optimizing sensor sensitivity, ensuring seamless operation
