Biography
Peter Heusinger has been working at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits for over 35 years in various thematic areas. In the 1990s, his work as group leader focused on the IC design of complex digital ASICs. In 2000, he started the activities of Fraunhofer IIS at the new Nuremberg location as head of the Competence Center Network Access Technology with a focus on industrial Ethernet and industrial communication technology, automation technology. In recent years, his topics have developed in the direction of edge cloud, multi-access edge computing for 5G mobile radio systems, security in Industry 4.0 and mobile radio applications, the Internet of Things and sustainable electronic systems. Peter Heusinger currently manages the "Distributed Systems and Security" group.
