Dr. Thomas Kaufmann

Dr. Thomas Kaufmann has been a member of the Automotive Division Board as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer since October 2019 and has been heading the Automotive Operations organization since 2014. He has received a doctor’s degree in engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and has been with Infineon since 2004. Dr. Thomas Kaufmann heads the operations organization in supply chain, production management and quality management in Infineon’s Automotive Division. In addition, he acts as digitalization ambassador for the Automotive Division, driving its digital transformation to increase speed, quality and efficiency. Prior to his current position, Dr. Thomas Kaufmann held multiple management positions in Manufacturing IT and Factory Integration in Germany and Singapore. From 2002 to 2004, Dr. Thomas Kaufmann worked as Chief Information Officer at Communicant Semiconductor Technologies AG. He started his career at Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation.
