Lecture description

Modern automotive electronics offer more features and convenience but also broaden the surface for attacks and pose major challenges to all parties along the supply chain. Additionally, a rising community gain more interest on attacking these systems. Learning from the past, improving the systems at present time and predicting the future of attacks on cars will be the foundation for a successful business and the basis for reliable safety functions. This talk will depict practical examples of risks in automotive cybersecurity and illustrate that just the fulfillment of ISO/SAE 21434 might be not sufficient. An outlook on future challenges and attack scenarios will complement the presentation.
