Building on this vision, Infineon is the first semiconductor provider to announce the
introduction of an automotive RISC-V microcontroller family. This new family will become part
of our established AURIX™ brand and extend our existing portfolio, which includes solutions
based on TriCore™ and ARM®. It will cater to a wide range of applications from entry-level to
high-performance needs. Our RISC-V virtual prototype has been launched at Embedded
World 2025. The starter kit is designed to enable pre-silicon software development and thus
foster a comprehensive RISC-V software and tool ecosystem.
