Dr. Bartek Sawicki

Bartek Sawicki is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Structural Design, TU Braunschweig, led by prof. Harald Kloft. Bartek earned his PhD from EPFL, Switzerland, where he investigated the application of advanced cementitious materials, their properties under realistic conditions, and their structural implications. Since 2021, he has been active in the development and implementation of digital fabrication methods in construction, particularly Shotcrete 3D Printing – initially in Switzerland and now at TU Braunschweig. His research focuses on the fundamental and long-established engineering principles applicable to digitally fabricated materials and structures, enabling their scalable, economical, and environmentally viable implementation.
