Biography

Since 2013, Benjamin Beck has been a research associate at the Chair of Fluid-Mechatronic Systems at TU Dresden, where he led the "Mobile Systems Engineering" group from 2019 to 2024. His expertise spans numerous publicly funded and industry-sponsored projects in hydraulic system technology, with a focus on simulation, control systems, and functional safety. A career highlight was coordinating the collaborative research project Bauen 4.0, which advanced the automation and networking of construction machinery.An active member of the MiC4.0 working group “machine data”, Benjamin Beck has been contributing to the development of data standardization for construction equipment. Since January 2023, he has been a research associate at the Construction Future Lab, a TU Dresden spin-off that builds upon the outcomes of Bauen 4.0. Since September 2023, he has led the "Digital Test Construction Site" division, which develops and tests innovations for the future of the construction industry.
