He worked for SANAA and Kengo Kuma and Associates in Tokyo and was co-founder and CEO of Kuma Europe. Together with Hiroko Kusunoki, he founded the Moreau Kusunoki office in Paris in 2011. Moreau Kusunoki's architecture is rooted in the cultural duality of its origins. The office designs from the conviction that architecture is best conceived in restraint and introspection. This allows for undefined spaces that create the potential for new meanings and personal experiences through appropriation. Projects include the award-winning Guggenheim Helsinki, the under-construction Powerhouse Parramatta Museum in Sydney and the renovation of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
