The future of construction: focus on bio-based building materials

Bio-based construction is becoming increasingly important in the long term due to the social responsibility of the entire construction industry. As renewable materials combine sustainability and performance, but are still used far too rarely, the event will focus on them.

Nature offers us a wealth of renewable raw materials, whose potential for construction practice will be illustrated by innovative products and practical examples at the event. Challenges relating to this, such as availability and durability, will be explored in greater depth in the subsequent discussion with the speakers. 

The aim of the event is to gain a better impression of how bio-based building materials can be used more consciously in future by all companies in the construction value chain so that the built environment can act as a CO2 reservoir.
