Lecture description

The way we live, work, and play has changed drastically in recent decades due to global connectivity. Now, we are at the start of a new technological revolution: the Internet is entering physical spaces, transforming architecture and design into an “Internet of Things” (IoT). This shift opens doors to applications across various fields – from production and citizen participation to energy, mobility, and public hygiene – all influenced by the changes brought by COVID-19. Prof. Carlo Ratti will explore these topics critically through projects by the Senseable City Laboratory at MIT and the design office Carlo Ratti Associati.
