Resource and material efficiency

Construction still requires an enormous use of natural and therefore finite materials and resources, the refinement of which also causes CO2 emissions. Added to this are the immense mountains of waste that arise from the deconstruction of buildings. Architectural and urban development strategies can therefore contribute significantly to a more responsible use of our natural resources if they are based on sufficiency and sustainability criteria. An key to this is circular construction.
