Mass customization (MC) is a new PV-manufacturing concept based on cleverly designed semi-fabricates

The goal of the MC2.0-project (www.mc2dot0.eu) is to make Integrated Solar PV products widely available and affordable. Key outputs of this project are:
•        Cost effective product, enabled by Mass Customization concept
•        Enhance sector cooperation (renovation wave concept)
•        Solve certification challenges
•        Using sustainable materials with lower environmental footprint
This results in four new products for different parts of the building skin, which all produce solar electricity on top of their normal functionality:
•        Pitched roof tiles
•        Façade cassettes
•        Solar glazing
•        Multi-functional windows
These new Solar building products are first time showcased to the public at BAU 2025.
