Charlie Sheridan serves as the Chief AI and Data Officer at Nemetschek Group, leading the newly established AI Hub on a global scale. In this role, he is tasked with driving the seamless integration of AI technologies across our diverse portfolio of software. With over 25 years of international industry experience, Charlie has focused on addressing critical technology challenges in the cyber-physical world. Before joining Nemetschek, he held key roles at prominent tech giants including Google, Intel and Huawei, where he spearheaded the development of next-generation cloud, data, IoT, and AI solutions in collaboration with esteemed industry partners. Charlie is widely recognized for his role in developing global, sophisticated technologies and ensuring their smooth integration into various industrial and Smart City end-markets. Charlie has significant experience within the EU commissions and university communities. He adeptly bridges the gap between industry and academia, while also advocating for collaboration and open collaborative research ecosystems. He, demonstrated his commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation through strategic partnerships. His involvement in EU Commission projects as a technical advisor showcases his expertise and influence in shaping policies and initiatives. Charlie holds 9 patents on IOT technologies and has co-authored 2 books on data centre and IT energy efficiency strategies.
