Dr. Merle Fuchs

Since completing her doctorate in molecular biology at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisci-plinary Natural Sciences under Nobel Prize winner Manfred Eigen in Göttingen, Merle Fuchs has worked in a variety of roles to transform innovations into successful products and services for international growth markets – primarily by coaching or co-founding innovative start-ups and growth companies and by collaborating with investors, accelerators, start-up initiatives, and governmental and semi-governmental institutions. As a die-hard scientist, multiple entrepre-neur and well-connected "doer", she currently works primarily as Director at medways e.V. in Jena, Site Director of leap:up GmbH in Leipzig and owner of TechnologieContor in Gera, and is a member of DECHEMA.
