Lecture description
For decades, the textile and paper industries relied on fluorine-based technologies to deliver ubiquitous, high-performance repellency. However, the global transition toward environmentally friendly, bio-based alternatives presents a fundamental challenge: nature rarely offers a "one-size-fits-all" solution. As the industry moves away from the universal efficacy of fluorine, the new premium lies not just in the product itself, but in the agility to tailor formulations to specific customer requirements. In this presentation, we explore the digital transformation journey of Daikin’s Unidyne product line. We will demonstrate how shifting from a product-centric model to a service-centric model requires a radical rethinking of R&D workflows. By implementing fast formulation capabilities and automated testing, we accelerate our ability to bridge the gap between sustainable materials and market demands. Bei dem Vortrag handelt es sich um einen Einladungsvortrag der SmartLab Solutions GmbH.
