Lecture description

Imagine an LC system that doesn’t just run methods but learns from every injection. As labs become more automated and digital, the instrument is the bridge between physical chemistry and the data world, and the quality of what it produces determines how far AI and automation can take us. In this talk, I’ll show how tightly integrating advanced software with LC hardware enables automated, high-quality chromatographic data. The centerpiece is a prototype for automated LC gradient optimization in OpenLab CDS using Bayesian optimization (BO). I’ll close with a look ahead at what’s next, and why progress depends on close collaboration between customers and vendors.
