Biography

Serge Rudaz is Full Professor at the University of Geneva, leading the Biomedical and Metabolomic Analysis (BMA) laboratory. He serves as Vice-President of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He participates in numerous Scientific Boards such as the Swiss Metabolomics Society, Swiss Centre for Applied Human Toxicology, the Competence Center in Chemical and Toxicological Analysis and the Academic Society of Geneva (SACAD). He’s also a member of the Laboratory Expert Advisory Group at the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA). His research interests encompass ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) coupled with mass spectrometry (MS), advancements in sample preparation, biological matrices, as well as clinical and preclinical studies, including metabolism, toxicological analysis, and metabolomics. His research group has also focused on developing chemometric approaches dedicated to the analysis of data produced by MS couplings. Aspects of dimensionality reduction and multi-table analysis are addressed through collaborative projects. He has authored or co-authored over 3 books, 25 book chapters and more than 380 peer-reviewed papers. Throughout his career, he has chaired or co-chaired several national and international congresses, such as Chimiométrie 2015, SEP 2017, MSB 2020, and PBA 2024.
