Born October 2nd, 1949, in Benešov, Czech Republic. 1972 - Graduated in Chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague (FSCU). 1977 - PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Department of Analytical Chemistry, FSCU. 1977 - 87 Lecturer at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, FSCU. 1986 - 2006 Reader at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, FSCU. 2006 - today Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, FSCU. 1993 - 1997 Deputy-Head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, FSCU. 2006 - 2012 Head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, FSCU. 1997 - today Representative of the Czech Chemical Society in the Division of Analytical Chemistry of European Chemical Society (EuChemS) and member of its steering committee (2014-2022). 2017- 2022 Affiliate member of Analytical Chemistry Division (Division V) of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). 2022 - 2025 Titular member of Division V of IUPAC. 1997 - today Member of Main Committee of the Czech Chemical Society. 1998 - today President of the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the Czech Chemical Society 1999 - 2012 Scientific Secretary of the UNESCO Laboratory of Environmental Electrochemistry at FSCU. 2012 - today Head of the UNESCO Laboratory of Environmental Electrochemistry at FSCU. 1999 - 2020 Head of the UNESCO Trace Element Satellite Centre at FSCU. New electrode materials and modifiers. Nanostructured and nanomodified electrodes. Electrochemical measurements in flow systems (HPLC ED, FIA ED, BIA ED).
