Prof. Dr. Daniel Teupser

Daniel Teupser is Professor and Chair of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine at LMU Munich, and Director of the Institute of Laboratory Medicine at Munich’s LMU Hospital. He received his MD in 1996 and PhD in 1998 from LMU Munich, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Rockefeller University in New York in Jan Breslow's laboratory from 2001 to 2003. Before his current appointment in 2011, he was Associate Professor at the University of Leipzig. He is a board-certified specialist in laboratory medicine. His research focuses on the genetics of cardiovascular disease and method development in laboratory medicine.
