Head of Toxicology Department of Laboratory Medicine & Toxicology, LaborBerlin – Charité Vivantes GmbH The Toxicology department here is primarily responsible for the following analyses: • Determination of drug concentrations within the framework of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, particularly for antibiotics, antiepileptics, and psychotropic drugs • Analysis of various biological matrices for substances of abuse in cases of suspected acute abuse, during substitution therapy, and for abstinence monitoring • Performance of systematic toxicological screening analyses (general unknown screening) in cases of suspected intoxication with pharmaceuticals or substances of abuse, with 24/7 availability • Laboratory accredited according to DIN EN ISO 15189 and 17025 Pharmacist & Specialist Scientist in Toxicology and Environmental Protection Degree: Postgraduate Studies in Toxicology & Environmental Protection, Leipzig University Member of GTFCh and active participation in the Working Group on Clinical Toxicology Member of T.I.A.F.T.
