Hans Brabec

Hans Brabec is a licensed pharmacist and research associate in forensic toxicology at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Mainz, Germany. His work focuses on the development and application of advanced LC-MS(/MS)-based methodologies for the analysis of forensically relevant peptides and proteins, with particular emphasis on postmortem investigations and alternative biological matrices. He regularly presents his research at international scientific conferences and received the Best Presentation Award at the GTFCh Symposium 2025. In 2026, he was admitted to the Gutenberg Academy Fellows Program at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, which recognizes outstanding early-career researchers. He is an active member of the Society of Toxicological and Forensic Chemistry (GTFCh) and the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT).
