Dr. Simone Lionetti

Simone Lionetti is currently Lecturer at the Applied AI Research Lab of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where he has been active in different positions since 2019. He holds a PhD in Particle Physics Theory with focus on numerical and analytic computational methods from ETH Zürich. His education and professional stations include the University of Milano, SLAC at Stanford, DESY in Hamburg, and the University of Durham. Simone works at the boundary between academia and industry, with the goal to translate Machine-Learning resarch into technologies that improve life quality. His core competences are data-centric AI, model evaluation, and representation learning across data modalities, and his main focus is on AI applications in healthcare and medical technology.
