Dr. Kjell Kochale

Kjell Kochale earned his Master's degree in Applied Chemistry, with a focus on Instrumental Analytics and Laboratory Management, from Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, followed by a PhD from the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2024. His doctoral research focused on the automated coupling of effect-based and instrumental analytics, particularly through the development of automated column-switching techniques for the online enrichment and separation of polar and nonpolar analytes, as well as the cobot-based automation of a complex HPTLC assay. This work led to a strong interest in developing flexible and easily integrable laboratory automation concepts tailored to the needs of analytical chemistry.
