Whereas large scale AV implementation can be seen in the US and China, the European AV deployment has been highly locally fragmented so far. In order to understand the current state of AV deployment sites the University of St. Gallen, PwC Germany and PAVE Europe have jointly created the AV Observatory 2025 which covers around 40 ongoing AV implementation projects in Europe. With this Observatory we provide a detailed dataset on these projects to decision- and policy-makers to stay fully informed about current efforts in order to successfully establish AD in Europe. In this panel, we will explore how the way to a large-scale AV implementation in Europe can be taken.
