Mauricio Rodas served as Mayor of Quito, Ecuador, from 2014 to 2019, where he led the construction of Ecuador’s first Metro line and championed transformative urban sustainability initiatives. He currently serves as Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where he lectures on cities' climate-resilient infrastructure finance. As Executive Secretary of the SDSN Global Commission for Urban SDG Finance and as Co-chair of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Investment Task Force -SUMIT, Rodas continues to shape global policy on sustainable transportation systems and infrastructure financing for cities.
